PURCHASING ASSISTANT
PURCHASING ASSISTANT to base in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria
Duties & Responsibilities:
Handle all spare parts logistics for the Company's fleet
Handle all local supplies and liaising with the Purchasing Manager for international purchase;
Order materials, supplies and spares required to maintain and anticipate proper stock levels;\Maintain an updated catalogue file of new developments in equipment and materials;
General supervision of the warehouse.
LINE REPORTING & FUNCTIONAL LINKAGE:
Reports to the Technical Superintendent
KEY SKILLS AND BEHAVIOUR:
Highly analytical and with good numeracy skills;
Able to work with details but maintain an overview
Good knowledge of marine equipment and materials
Able to work to deadlines with a minimum of supervision
Good interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment
EXPERIENCE:
You have worked in the Procurement Department of a large commercial enterprise;
Experience in an international environment is an added advantage.
EDUCATION:
Degree in Engineering or Management discipline is required
Membership of the requisite Professional body is an advantage;
LANGUAGE: Fluent in English
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
BASE ENGINEER to be based in Port-Harcourt, river state, Nigeria
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervision of dedicated mechanical maintenance team
Responsible for the condition for dedicated vessels
KEY SKILLS AND BEHAVIOUR:
Highly analytical and with good numeracy skills;
Able to work with details but maintain an overview
Able to work to deadlines with a minimum of supervision
Good interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment
EXPERIENCE:
You have worked in Marine Engineering Company;
Sea-going experience on a vessel, minimum of 2nd Engineering level
Experience in an international environment is an asset.
EDUCATION:
Degree in Marine Engineering discipline or 2nd Engineering Certificate of competency
LANGUAGE: Fluent in English
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
TECHNICAL DRYDOCKING & MAINTENACE SUPERVISOR based in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State
DUTIES & responsibilities:
Daily organize base engineering work with the technical superintendent;
Supervise dry docking and maintenance work at the base;
Assist and supervise base engineering during maintenance work;
Prepare dry-dock/maintenance report;
May be required to perform duties outside of normal responsibilities from time to time
LINE REPORTING & FUNCTIONAL LINKAGE:
Reports to the Technical Base Superintendent
KEY SKILLS AND BEHAVIOUR:
Highly analytical and with good numeracy skills;Good organizational skills;
Able to work with details but maintain an overview
Able to work to deadlines with a minimum of supervision
Good interpersonal skills;
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment
EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years Sea-going experience of which at least 2 years as Chief Engineer
Experience in an intern environment is an asset
experience in marine management:
EDUCATION:
chief Engineer's license
Past Experience as a Base Engineer is an added advantage
LANGUAGE:
FLUENT IN ENGLISH
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
