VACANCIES FOR EXCEPTIONAL CANDIDATES

Our client is one of the largest Oilfield services with operations in more than 50,000 people worldwide. With a product and services portfolio that spans the life cycle of a well-drilling evaluation completion, production and intervention. They are in search of exception professionals to fill the following posts in Nigeria:

(a) DRILLING WIRE-LINE

I. TRAINEE WIRELINE FIELD ENGINNERS (REF: WTS/GA/001
The successful candidates will members of the Wireline Operations division and as such will be trained in operating wireline and steering tool instruments for basic survey operations. Specifically, the candidate will:

• Maintain wireline units from pre to post job
• Learn how to operate Wireline units and steering tools including hanging sheaves and familiarization with subs and crossovers used in job applications.
• Understand the theory of magnetic and magnetic surveying
• Responsible for pre-job preparation of surveying equipment and wireline unit to high quality standards and to ensure pre-job logistics are completed.

Qualification, experience and attributes
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Some Microsoft Windows experience (general computer awareness/experience)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division.
• One(1) – Three (3) years relevant post degree oil and gas work experience (includes NYSC) not compulsory but an added advantage.

II..WIRELINE FIELD OPERATOR (REF: WTS/GA/002)
Specifically the successful candidate will:
• Ensure quality, cost effective service is provided to each customer
• Assembling, preparing, checking and loading of equipment required for a scheduled job.
• Guide subsurface tools in and out of well bore under the supervision of the Engineer.
• Operates hoist, performs routine measurement checks, calculations and adjustments to ensure accurate depth measurements.
• Clean and check unit tools and equipment under direct supervision performs routine maintenance in preparation for next job.
• Respond to customer assignments on short notice, day or night.
Qualification, experience and attributes
Technical Qualification
Minimum of 15 years field experience

III. MID CAREER WIRELINE FIELD ENGINEER (REF: WTS/GA/003
Specifically, the successful candidates will:

Apply procedures for the operation of wireline equipment/tools/techniques in order to ensure quality and cost effective service is provided to each customer. This position entails working within the Cased Hole/Open Hole/Intervention discipline. The individual will continue to received training to extend their knowledge of services related to formation evaluation, production logging, perforating services, conveyance, imaging and explosive and radioactive handling /safety procedures.
• Plan and prepare for well site operations.
• Supervise Junior Field Engineer and Operators in the preparation of the unit and calibration of equipment
• Conduct Wireline well site operations to the satisfaction of customer at well site.

• Maintains knowledge of the latest technological changes and operating procedure pertaining to Company equipment. Tools and practices to insure maximum operating efficiency.

• Foster and maintains customer relation by establishing a positive image and confidence in the quality of services and ensures the confidentiality of all logging operations.

• Informs customers of any unusual condition noted at the well, maintains direct contact with customer’s representatives throughout the life logging or completion operations; interprets common services in the assigned service area for customers.

• Promptly and accurately submits all required reports and data.

• Maintains assigned equipment and facilities in a neat, workable condition and conducts self in an exemplary manner at all times.

• Prepares, drafts, and completes all logs for printing on locations or immediately upon return to district office from job site depending on customers requirements.

Qualifications, experience and attributes

• Some Microsoft Windows experience (general computer awareness/experience)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 5 Years minimum experience within the Oil and Gas Industry


(B) DRILLING-MANAGE PRESSURE DRILLING (MPD

I.BASE SUPPORT ENGINEER (REF: WTS/GA/004)
Specifically, the successful candidate will:
• Pressure test, maintain and operate RCD-MPD equipment in a safe manner as per standard operating procedure
• Ensure that all preparation have taken place equipment is fit for used and all pre-installation checks and testing have been carried out.
• Ensure all required onsite spares and inventory are in place, record the use of consumables utilized during operations, ensuring the relevant record are forwarded to operations base, allowing suitable time to ship replacement items.
• Ensure that copies of all documentation and certification are relative to equipment.
• Communication RCD procedures to both company engineers and rid crew.
• Work with and supervise the on-site crew, to ensure correct equipment handling during rig up and rig down of RCD equipment.
• Maintain appropriate contact with clients client customer representatives at the well site
• Training crew on RCD operations, requiring their assistance
• Ensure equipment in the filed is well maintained and compliant with relevant standards.
• Ensure that operations are completed to the full satisfaction of the client
• Produce all required RA, PTW, Reports, handover notes of all RCD-MPD well site activities.
• Record end of well date on WPTS job tracking database
• Train Junior RCD—personnel.
• Work in shop preparing servicing and testing equipment as required
• Ensure all the documents required for operational activities (Passports, work permits, Offshore survival, H2S medical certificates and appropriate immunization documents etc) are up to date and maintained.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and altitude.
• Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by the product line instructions are reasonable and you are capable and deed competent to fulfill these.
Qualification, experience and attributes
• Possess at least 5 years experience in RCD MPD operations and pressurized mud cap drilling operations.
• Have 5 years oilfield experience as Driller or significant applicable experience gained within the oil and gas sector
• Must have good mechanical aptitude, and Pneumatics experience


• Bachelor’ degree in Engineering

II. FIELD DRILLING ENGINEER (REF: WTS/GA/005
SPECIFICALLY, THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
• Make-up, load out and installation of CPDT equipment as per company’s best practice and to customer requirements
• Conducts all pre-job checks on equipments available and fit for work.
• Works as crew members during the actual installation. Ensure safe rig up and operation of equipment in accordance with Company and Customers instructions
• Perform workshop duties prior to load out of equipment package including equipment inspection assembly and testing.
• Ensure that all workshop activities are conducted in accordance with HSE Management Systems and relevant product line work instructions and guidelines..
• Inspection of all equipment prior to load out to ensure compliance to work instructions and correct documentation.
• Collation of job work package including all relevant QAQC documentations.
• Contribution to post-installation reports, including.
• End of well report.
• Other duties as directed.
Qualification, experience and attributes
• Basic knowledge of relevant computer software.
• Offshore survival certificate and H2S certificate
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Minimum of 4 years relevant oilfield experience, including 3 years with associated handling tools
• University Engineering degree or relevant
III. FIELD TECHNICIANS (REF: WTS/GA/006
Performs field Controlled Pressure Drilling Business Unit and maintenance of Business Unit’s equipments, according to Internal and external customer requirements.

Qualification, experience and attributes
• QHSSE procedural knowledge
• Basic understanding of quality management principles

• Extensive knowledge of rig floor operations and associated handling procedures.

• Basic knowledge of relevant computer software.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills especially English

• Minimum 4 year assigned product & service line’s equipment and operations.

• University Engineering degree or relevant

(C) DRILLING AND DOWN HOLE SYSTEM

(i) FISHING TOOL SUPERVISOR (REF: WTS/GA/007)

Specifically, the successful candidate will:

• Perform fishing operations and develop skills to properly supervise the handling and operation of fishing tools.
• Review job needs to make sure tools and equipment needed are in stock.
• Provide customer with recommendations, procedures and drawings when a changing plan is necessary..
• Provide customer with reports of history of tools run and results obtained, history of the job and related information prior to leaving site.
• Finalize job by getting reports, job logs signed by company representative.
• Actively participate in shop servicing, dressing, and lookouts of any equipment.
• Perform fishing operations in accordance with company policies and customer requirements.
(D) HUMAN RESOURCES

(I) HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER (REF: WTS/GA/008)

The successful candidate will manage and maintain a professional level of service to all staff which ensures the objectives of the Human Resources function is achieved, Under general direction, this position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of policies and programs, covering training, employee relations, recruiting development special projects payroll, performance appraisals, compensation and all other HR required functions. To take a key managerial role in creation, introduction and maintenance of a Human Resources strategy and to prepare, and annual business plan for HR to deliver the agreed strategy.
• Design new HR policies as and when required by changes in the law of good practice and to review existing policies in a timely fashion and make sound proposals for the continual improvement of working practice.
• Work with managers and employees to identify, assess, and implement training needs.
• Work proactively with Government parastatals dealing with employee related issues; Management of Manpower Planning, Recruitment.
• Manage employee welfare.
• Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budget.
• Provide leadership and a professional support service to the company Management to ensure HY alignment with Country, Regional and Global objectives and requirements.
• Contribute to “people strategies” to ensure the Company meets all its legislative requirements and is both efficient and effective in managing its employees within Nigeria.
• Provide day to day operational HR support-specifically, this will be in the areas of recruitment pay, and benefits, communication, performance management, discipline, termination, record keeping, training & development. This also includes supervision of the work being done by the HR and Training Coordinators in Nigeria.
• Manage all industrial relations issues specifically ensure industrial harmony with Unions.
• Manage Community relations issues.

Qualification, experience and attributes:

• Candidates should possess a good first degree in the Social Sciences, Humanities, or Law. A higher degree would be a distinct advantage.
• The Successful candidate must have a minimum 12 years experience in core HR practice.
• Member of the Chattered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria essential.
• Thorough knowledge of Program Planning, implementation and evaluation principles, practices and procedures.
• Should have good analytical and innumeracy skill
• Good supervisory skills, ability to provide reasoned advice to supervisors and ability to motive subordinate staff.
